Women host league leaders Peamount at Ferrycarrig

Although Wexford’s title ambitions are over Lizzy Kent’s team will have a big say in where the Women’s Premier Division trophy ends up with both Peamount United and Shamrock Rovers coming to the south east in the next two weeks.

First up is league leaders Peamount who can virtually secure their fourth League title with three points at Ferrycarrig on Saturday afternoon. The Peas have only lost one League game all season and have won their last nine games in the competition.

Wexford head into the game on the back of last weeks 2-2 draw with Bohemians at Dalymount Park. Prior to that they had a 4-0 home win over Treaty and a 4-1 away victory in Sligo.

The sides have met twice this season, a 2-1 League victory for Peamount at PRL Park in April and a 2-1 win for Wexford in the All-Island Cup at the same venue in July. Both games were decided with late winners.

Rianna Jarrett and Aoibheann Clancy are doubts for Saturdays game, both missed the draw in Dublin last week with injuries. Nicola Sinnott also missed out but was back in training again this week.

Della Doherty, Grace Fitzpatrick-Ryan and Siún Murdiff are also still recovering from long term injuries.

Kick Off at Ferrycarrig Park on Saturday is 2pm with tickets available at the gate priced at €5 for adults with U16s going Free.

The game will be broadcast Live on national television with coverage on TG4.
