On behalf of all Wexford players, supporters and volunteers in the last 15 years, we wish to offer a huge message of thanks to Seanie O’Shea.
Since joining the League in 2007, Seanie has laboured tirelessly to put Wexford Youths and Wexford FC on the road to success.
Seanie has done superb work for the club at every level in these last 15 years. He has managed the senior side when called upon, acted as club chairman for the past several years, and ably ensured the club’s kit, transport, stadium, pitches, nutrition, and much more have all been taken care of, to keep League of Ireland football alive in County Wexford.
Hundreds of young footballers have passed through Ferrycarrig Park and reaped the benefits of his selfless work. Seanie has been a constant present from our FAI Youth Cup win in 2007/8, our First Division title win in 2015, up to the most recent unforgettable season in 2022.
We regret to confirm that Seanie has decided to step back from the club ahead of the 2023 season, and so we sincerely wish him the very best with the next chapter of an incredible life in sport.
We once again thank him for an extraordinary 15 years of work. We will continue to grow Wexford Football Club in a way that he would be proud of.
Go raibh mile maith agat Seánie!
