Everyone at Wexford FC Women would like to wish Maeve Williams the very best for the future as she departs from the club after seven years.
Maeve joined Wexford Youths Academy in 2018 and starred for our U17 and U19 teams before making her senior competitive debut for the club on March 17th, 2019 away to Cork. The young goalkeeper earned her first senior clean sheet in the 3-0 win.
Her breakout season came in 2022 when she made the number one spot her own – Maeve going on to make 71 senior appearances (in all competitions) for Wexford. Maeve also represented her country up to U19 level.
A lovely person as well as a great goalkeeper, we thank Maeve for her fantastic contribution to the club both on and off the pitch.
