Wexford Youths Women will kick off their 2023 SSE Airtricity Women’s Premier Division season away to Galway United. The opening day fixture will be played on Saturday, 4th March.
This will be the first ever meeting between the sides.
Galway United are entering a Women’s team in the WNL for the first time (Galway WFC having made the decision not to apply for inclusion in the 2023 league last September). United recently announced Phil Trill as their first team manager.
For Wexford, Ciara Rossiter, Lauren Dwyer and Aoibheann Clancy have all confirmed their returns for the 2023 season with more new signings at Ferrycarrig set to be announced this week.
