Women win 2025 All-Island Cup Final

Wexford FC Women were crowned All-Island Cup Winners for the first time on Sunday after a thrilling penalty shoot-out win over Bohemians at Ferrycarrig Park.

The game, broadcast nationally live on TG4, ended 1-1 after ninety minutes. Alannah McEvoy had given the Dublin side a half-time lead but Ellen Molloy fired in a equaliser midway through the second half. The Slaneysiders finished the stronger but couldn’t find a winner and the game went straight to penalties.

Wexford were perfect from the spot, scoring all five and Maria O’Sullivan came up with the vital save to secure a famous win for Wexford.

Wexford are the first team to have won the League, FAI Cup, League Cup, Shield and All-Island Cup.

There was a record All-Island Cup Final attendance at Ferrycarrig Park with 2,201 braving the weather.

The previous AIC Final record was 1,347 at Tallaght Stadium last year.

It’s also the largest attendance at Ferrycarrig (including men’s games) since 2008 and the second biggest in our short history.
