Wexford FC & Wexford Youths Women FC are delighted to announce a partnership with positive mental health in football advocates Head in the Game.
As part of the partnership, the captains of the men’s and women’s teams will wear their captain’s armband for the 2023 season.
Head in the game PRO Stefan McKevitt said they were delighted to have Wexford FC on board.
“We’re delighted to link up with Wexford FC and feel privileged that the club will walk with us in sharing our message. We’d encourage anyone who isn’t feeling themselves and finds themselves in difficulty with their mental health to reach out and speak to a professional. It’s amazing the difference taking that first step can make.”
Wexford FC & Wexford Youths Women FC Cheif Marketing Officer Scott Gaynor was also very pleased to announce the link up.
“It’s something the club have taken part in for Mental Health Awareness Month previously but we want to promote the good work of Head in the Game for the entire 2023 season and beyond.
It was great to see Ethan Boyle & Kylie Murphy wear the armbands last weekend and we look forward to continuing that for the campaign. We want to keep the conversation going and keep that door open for the well-being of anyone within the Wexford and wider football community.”
