We regret to confirm that tomorrow’s scheduled friendly match with Shelbourne has been reversed. Following last night’s adverse weather conditions, access to Ferrycarrig Park has become hazardous, and unfortunately, it is not safe or feasible to hold the fixture at our home ground. Furthermore, there is a significant risk of damage to the pitch, which we cannot risk.
This decision has not been made lightly, as we were all looking forward to what promised to be an exciting and high-profile game. We know our fans, management, players, and coaching staff were eager for this fixture, and we deeply regret the disappointment this change will cause.
Despite our best efforts, we were unable to secure another venue in Wexford at short notice. However, we wish to express our gratitude to Shelbourne FC, who have been extremely helpful in sourcing an alternative venue in Dublin for tomorrow’s match. The match has been switched to Malahide at 5pm.
We sincerely apologise to our fans for any inconvenience and disappointment caused, and we thank you for your understanding and continued support. We cannot wait to see you all back at Ferrycarrig Park.
