Scott Gaynor is announced as new Chief Marketing Officer

Wexford FC & Wexford Youths Women FC are delighted to announce Scott Gaynor as our new Chief Marketing Officer (CMO). The role’s primary mission is to facilitate growth and increase brand awareness by developing a comprehensive marketing plan that will promote brand recognition and increase Wexford FC’s & Wexford Youths Women’s FC’s following.

Scott has played League of Ireland football with Athlone Town, is a former Goalkeeper Coach & Assistant Manager of Wexford Youths Women FC and served as Goalkeeper Coach for FAI Schools U15 & Republic of Ireland Women’s U16 teams.

Currently teaching at partner school Presentation Secondary School, Wexford, where he is the School and Wider Community Development Officer, Scott has previous working experience with FOUR Magazine as Sales Executive & Brand Manager, launching their magazine in the US market. Scott has also worked as a freelance Sports Journalist in print, digital media & radio.

Speaking about the new role, Scott said he was delighted to come on board.

“I’m really excited about taking on this new role. I’m very familiar with the club from my time with Wexford Youths Women and I firmly believe in direction the club is taking. The club are looking to build a really strong connection with the local community in Wexford and that is something we will be working towards, where we have a club that the whole of Wexford can be proud of.

“We have some ideas of our own to make improvements but we’re always happy to hear suggestions and we’re looking to genuinely engage with the current, and hopefully some new, fans along the journey. We have received great feedback already on our fan survey on the match day experience at Ferrycarrig Park,  and we will be looking to implement some of those ideas in the near future. That survey is still open and if you have something you think would help us improve what we do, then we want to hear it.

“We’re looking forward to getting the season started in earnest and hopefully we’ll see some exciting action and positive results on the pitch.”
