Wexford FC are delighted to announce that goalkeeper Alex Moody has signed a new contract to remain at the club for the 2026 season.
This will be Moody’s fourth season at Wexford across two stints, and he continues to be a key figure within the squad. To date, he has made almost 50 appearances for the club and has recorded seven clean sheets, while also being recognised for his commanding presence and excellent distribution from the back.
Speaking on his return, Alex said:
“I am delighted to be back for the upcoming season. Every year the club continues to grow on and off the field, it’s exciting to be part of that progress. I’m looking forward to working with Stephen again and seeing what the future brings.”
Manager Stephen Elliott also welcomed the news:
“Alex is a top professional who came in and did a great job for us last season when called upon. We’re delighted that he has agreed to a contract extension, and we can’t wait to get going with him again this season.”
Moody’s extension adds further experience, depth, and leadership to the squad as Wexford FC continue preparations for the 2026 campaign.
