Match Preview: Wexford FC vs Galway Utd

A tough task ahead this Friday night as Wexford look to go four games unbeaten at home to Galway United.

It’s been a positive run of form for the Slaneysiders – they backed up their record 6-0 win with a convincing victory over Cobh Ramblers last Friday night. It was a quick turnaround then on Bank Holiday Monday, with Wexford securing a 1-1 draw away to Treaty United.

It was a special goal indeed from Darragh Levingston that secured the point away – with all of Wexford’s last nine goals coming from County Wexford players.

Danny Furlong should return after being rested for the Treaty United trip. Evan Farrell is very close to match fitness, after being included in the matchday squad at home to Cobh last week. Jordon Tallon is also expected to shake off the niggle that forced him off on Monday.

Aaron Robinson should be approaching a return after the summer break. Mark Hanratty could miss the final game break before the mid-season break due to the injury sustained away to Kerry FC.

Thomas Considine recently underwent an operation, and we wish him the very best with his recovery.
