Fresh off an important win away at Longford last Saturday, Wexford FC go straight into another game with a massive 3 points up for grabs.
Wexford and Harps find themselves in 6th and 7th place respectively – and with 5th place Athlone Town facing Waterford, this feels like a bit of a 6 pointer. Whoever wins is quite likely to find themselves back among the playoff places.
Last time out versus Finn Harps – it was really the beginning of Wexford’s early injury crisis with both Conor Levingston and Aaron Robinson limping off in that game. For the return of Harps, it now feels like the crisis is finally coming to an end. While Aaron Robinson, Thomas Considine and Evan Farrell will still be out for a time, Wexford are expecting to see Conor Levingston, Brandon McCann and others back in the matchday squad.
The win last Saturday also saw a bit of a change in shape – most notable with Ethan Boyle moving into the midfield with a 4-2-3-1 formation. We will only know on Friday night at 7.45PM if that will be James Keddy’s choice once again.
