Match Preview: Wexford FC vs Bray Wanderers

After a barnstorming win away to Waterford FC on Bank Holiday Monday, Wexford have another quick turnaround as they host Bray Wanderers on Friday night.

It will be Ian Ryan’s first return to Ferrycarrig Park after his departure during the off-season, and it remains to be seen what kind of reception he and the other familiar faces will receive in front of the Ferrycarrig crowd.

While Wexford will feel momentum is on their side after the derby win, Bray Wanderers have suffered a number of stinging defeats in recent weeks, starting with their 4-1 defeat to LSL side Usher Celtic and most recently with a 3-0 defeat away to Treaty United.

Wexford have also welcomed back Conor Levingston and Brandon McCann, and the impact of both has been felt immediately with McCann assisting Dobbs’ goal in the RSC.

Dobbs was forced off with injury in Monday’s victory, and will be in a race to be fit for Friday night.

Aaron Robinson and Thomas Considine will still be out for a time, but Evan Farrell is now nearing a return to full fitness in the coming weeks.
