Match Preview: Longford Town vs Wexford FC

Wexford FC have another long away day ahead as they travel to face Longford Town this Saturday night.

Wexford are in the best form of their season so far, with 3 wins, 1 draw and 1 defeat at home to Galway United in their last five games. Key to the run has undoubtedly been the form of Danny Furlong and Aaron Dobbs leading the line – Dobbsy has netted 6 goals in the same last 5 games and Danny is off the mark with 3 goals in the same time.

Longford meanwhile are in something of a slump – they come into tonight’s game with 4 defeats on the bounce and 1 scoreless draw away to Waterford back in May. In fact, their last win came at Ferrycarrig Park in a comfortable 3-0 win over Wexford – a result that the Wexford men will be looking to put right this Saturday night.

In fitness news Evan Farrell returned to the pitch last weekend as part the U19 squad, and Mark Hanratty also returned as a sub in last week’s win over Finn Harps. Ethan Boyle and James Keddy will also return from suspension for Saturday night.

Aaron Robinson and Thomas Considine are still on the road to recovery and should hopefully return soon. Sadly, Jordon Tallon confirmed on social media that he has departed the club.

The match will be available to watch LIVE on LOITV.ie

Kickoff at Bishopsgate is set for 7.30pm
