Wexford FC go back on the road this Saturday with a chance to avenge the late draw conceded at Ferrycarrig Park just over a week ago.
Wexford had gone on a 6 game unbeaten stretch that had powered them comfortably in the playoffs at this early stage, but late conceded goals against Longford and UCD in their last two games means Wexford will need to go back to winning ways urgently on Saturday.
James Keddy has been direct in post-game interviews about what needs to be fixed in training. Defensively there has been errors and no doubt James and the team have worked hard to address that in the past week.
Aaron Dobbs continues to return from a strained hamstring, and Max Kelly is nearing a return after a long term injury however Saturday may come too soon. Sean McHale and Aaron Robinson also remain out with injuries.
Also on Saturday evening, there will be a super event surrounding the Wexford FC Women’s home game with Shelbourne. Entry is free to celebrate the launch of our Mnásome campaign! There will be a pre-match panel with Lizzy Kent, Rebecca Creagh, Paul Martyn and Michelle O’Neill around women’s football and much more on the night!
