Katie McCarn signs for Wexford

Wexford FC Women are delighted to announce the signing of Katie McCarn from Bohemians. One of the most exciting young footballers in the country Katie has represented Ireland at U17 and U19s.

Katie progressed from the Shelbourne FC Academy before making the move to Dalymount Park. Although her season was curtailed by injury Katie still scored eight goals in her sixteen League appearances in 2025 including two goal of the season contenders against Wexford in Dublin back in March.

A dynamic pacy player who can play on either wing or as a striker, Katie will be a significant addition to the Wexford attack in 2026.

On signing for Wexford Katie said:

“I’m delighted to sign for Wexford and really looking forward to working with Dave Connell and all the coaches. I worked with Dave before when I was with the Ireland U19s and he’s an unbelievable manager.”

“I’m also delighted to see Megan (Smyth-Lynch) sign – I played with her at Shels and she’s a fantastic player of course so I’m really excited and can’t wait to meet up with all the team for the new season.”
