Wexford FC Women are delighted to confirm the appointment of Hugh Strong as first-team manager.
The UEFA Elite A licensed coach comes in after spending the last two seasons managing Shelbourne FC U19 men. Hugh has also previously coached at DLR Waves and spent five seasons at the Bohemian FC Academy.
Speaking to the clubs media team ahead of todays announcement Hugh said:
“I firstly want to thank Colm Barron and everyone at the Shelbourne Academy for everything over the last two seasons but the chance to manage at the highest level of Women’s football in the country was something I just couldn’t turn down.”
“I am absolutely delighted to be joining Wexford and would like to thank all at the club for giving me the opportunity.”
“Hard Work will be at the heart of everything we do and I can’t wait to get going.”
Wexford FC are delighted to have appointed an ambitious manager with vast experience of youth development and are excited and looking forward to our future with Hugh at the helm.
