Ciaran Kavanagh Appointed U19 Head Coach

Wexford FC are delighted to announce the appointment of Ciaran Kavanagh as Head Coach of our u19 squad for the 2023 season

Now based in Gorey Co. Wexford, Ciaran Kavanagh has an impressive background as a player and a coach. Ciaran is a UEFA A Licence and Elite A Licence holder, and has held the role of Head Coach at the FAI Regional Development Centres in Bunclody, Dundalk and Arklow.

We are delighted to welcome someone of Ciaran’s calibre and experience both as a player and coach to the Academy set up. The synergy between the U19s and first team is a critical pathway for the future of the club and the players and the relationship between James Keddy and Ciaran as former team mates will be a very important stepping stone.

Former team-mates at Dundalk, they were both members of the Dundalk team that won the FAI Cup in 2001/2.
