Ciara Rossiter made her 200th appearance for Wexford in Saturdays game at Ferrycarrig Park, an amazing achievement from the local club legend.
Rossi joined Wexford Youths Women in 2012 after signing from Forth Celtic.
The left winger has since gone on to win everything in the women’s game in Ireland, including four League titles and four FAI Cups, Rossi playing a pivotal role in the success of the club.
Her 200th appearance is made even more remarkable from the fact that she was out of action for almost two seasons with ACL injuries but her determination to get back to the top is an inspiration to all. The Wexford native made appearances for Ireland at underage level and was capped at senior level before suffering her first ACL injury.
Aged 28, Rossi is still playing at the top of her game and we are all looking forward to watching her at Ferrycarrig for many seasons to come.
