Calum Flynn stays with Wexford FC for 2026

Wexford FC is delighted to announce that exciting young forward Calum Flynn is staying with Wexford FC for the 2026 season.

Flynn enjoyed a hugely impressive debut campaign in senior football in 2025, making an immediate impact with 8 goals across all competitions. He burst onto the scene with 4 goals in his first 6 League of Ireland appearances, quickly establishing himself as one of the league’s brightest emerging talents. His performances earned him two selections in the First Division Team of the Week, highlighting his influence during a strong season for the club.

Manager Stephen Elliott praised Flynn’s attitude and potential as he looks ahead to the new season.

“Calum showed great promise last season, delivering some crucial goals. He’s a natural finisher with a real hunger to succeed, and there’s no doubt he’ll be eager to impress again this season.”

Speaking to the club media team during the week, Calum Flynn was delighted with his time at Wexford so far:

Firstly I’m delighted to sign back at Wexford for this upcoming season.

Since coming into the club last season I’ve loved every minute of it and felt at home.

I’m excited to have the opportunity to work with Stephen again, I feel like he can really get the best out of me and I can learn a lot from him with the level he played at.

After speaking to Stephen and the club there’s a real ambition and belief that we can push on and do something special this year so it was a no brainer for me, I’m delighted to be a part of it and to contribute as much as I can to the team, I can’t wait to get going!

The club looks forward to seeing Calum continue his development in 2026 as he aims to build on an excellent first year in senior football.
