Wexford FC Women are delighted to welcome new signing Anna Carson to the club for the new season. The 23 year old American joins us from the University of Connecticut where she was team captain and ever present in the heart of their defence playing every minute of all UConn games last season.
Anna is excited to test herself in the League of Ireland saying: “This League has great quality in teams, players and coaches. Everyone has been so welcoming here at Wexford. I hope to make a positive impact to the team and I’m really looking forward to making my debut as a professional footballer in the League of Ireland.”
Anna goes straight into the squad that will head to Sligo tomorrow as Wexford kick off the defence of the Women’s All-Island Cup they won last season.
