Wexford FC are back at home this Friday night to host Kerry FC.
Wexford had a mixed bag over the tough Bank Holiday weekend fixtures – you would have taken a draw against Cobh before the weekend, but the late concession of a penalty slightly changed the feel of what was a good result.
Similarly, Wexford ran Waterford close in the South East Derby but the concession of the set-piece goal meant we came away empty-handed.
However, Wexford remain in the coveted 5th place playoff spot after all of the shake-ups, and also in the next round of the FAI Cup.
Kerry are adrift at the bottom of the table but put on an impressive performance at home to Cobh on Monday. On top of taking a 2-0 lead in the first half, they had a sublime chance to nick the win in injury time but ultimately took 2-2 draw for their seventh point of the year.
Danny Furlong appears to be back to near full match fitness, while Aaron Dobbs is still making his way back to full fitness. Thomas Oluwa will also return after being ineligible against his parent club Waterford.
Conor Levingston could be in the mix for the matchday squad, and Aaron Robinson is very close to his return to the senior squad.
