Wexford FC are back on the front foot as they take three wins from their past three games – results that have propelled them back into the playoff places.
The instant impact of new signings Oluwa, Browne, O’Malley, Kenny and Lovic have been critical for this, giving defensive solidity as well as good coverage for Dobbs and Furlong who were out for a spell with injury.
This weekend, James will be all the more grateful for the extra numbers as he faces back to back games against Cobh Ramblers and Waterford on Friday and Monday.
Oluwa will be ineligible against his parent club Waterford – therefore it is a fair assumption that Oluwa will get the nod on Friday with a possible return for Dobbs/Furlong on Monday.
As for the midfield – Keddy has nothing but options as Conor Levingston and Darragh Levingston return from injury and suspension respectfully, joining a stacked set of options in Luka Lovic, Brandon McCann, Corban Piper, Kian Corbally, Ethan Boyle, amongst others.
Owen Mason’s injury has thankfully proven to be not as serious as rumoured, and so could be in line to give competition to Charlie Heffernan over the weekend.
Aaron Robinson is expected back in the coming weeks, but is likely to get some minutes with the U19s before making the full return to the senior side.
