Women to face Galway in All-Island Cup Semi-Final

Having topped the ‘group of death’ Wexford Youths Women will now take on Galway United in the Semi-Finals of the inaugural Avenir Sports All-Island Cup.

Wexford put in another super performance in Dublin yesterday, Aoibheann Clancy and Rianna Jarrett on the scoresheet in a thrilling 2-1 comeback win over Peamount United, the final game in the Group stages for the Youths.

The win came on the back of an excellent 5-3 victory over Shamrock Rovers on match day two and an opening day draw away to Glentoran.

Galway United topped Group A after victories over Shelbourne and Linfield and drawing with Athlone.

In the other Semi-Final, Cliftonville FC will play Cork City, both games to take place on Saturday, 8th July with venues and times still to be confirmed.
