Wexford FC welcome Kerry to Ferrycarrig Park for the first time in their history as a senior League of Ireland side this Friday night.

Wexford are starting to find their stride, now two games unbeaten and starting to move up towards the playoff places. They had their first win in comprehensive fashion two weeks ago at Ferrycarrig Park, defeating then top side Athlone Town 3-0. It was followed last week by the long journey to Finn Park – always one of the toughest grounds to visit – and Wexford left with a 0-0 cleansheet. Never a bad result – but what will hurt Wexford is the potential injury list following the game. Wexford are waiting on news of key players Aaron Robinson, Conor Levingston and Kian Corbally – all of whom went off with injury in the second half.
Kerry made an impressive start to life in the League of Ireland – narrow defeats to Cobh Ramblers and Bray Wanderers before getting their first senior point with a 1-1 draw against Treaty United. However, Kerry made headlines for all the wrong reasons last week with a heavy defeat away to Galway United. They will be seeking to put that behind them this Friday night
