Welcome home Rianna!
We are thrilled to announce the return of Rianna Jarrett to Ferrycarrig Park.
Rianna joined Wexford for the inaugural WNL season back in 2011 and won three League titles and three FAI Cups during her time at the club with a sensational record of 99 goals in her 108 appearances.
In 2020 Rianna moved to England and signed her first professional contract with Brighton in the Women’s Super League. In 2021 she joined the London City Lionesses scoring five goals in 18 appearances, her spell with the club unfortunately interrupted through injury.
WNL Player of the Year in 2018 and 2019, Rianna is delighted to be home again and looking forward to the new WNL season which kicks off in March:
“Excited to be back playing with Wexford Youths, it’s going to be a fun couple of weeks before the season starts. I’m excited to get back working with Stephen and the team, there’s a lot of familiar faces that I’ve played with previously like Kylie Murphy, Ciara Rossiter, Lolly Conlon, Edel Kennedy and Lauren Dwyer who have all been there from the start. The recent announcement of Emily Corbet coming in is exciting. She hit the ground running last year with Athlone and hopefully I can partner up with her and we’ll be a good strike force.”
“For me obviously been out injured for the last 12 months, the next couple of weeks are about building fitness, building form and obviously building connections in training so I’m really looking forward to getting started this week with the girls.”
