We are delighted to announce Mark Ross as the new Wexford FC Head of Academy where he will report to the Head of Football Operations.
Marks experience in the game coupled with his extensive knowledge having completed the UEFA Elite Youth A licence in 2018 has made him the ideal candidate to replace the outgoing Tom O’Connor.
Mark started his coaching career with Wycombe Wanderers before progressing to Wales then on to Spain before finally settling in Bunclody where he has been a prominent coach within the Wexford Schoolboys League and Wexford Youths in recent years.
For the past 7 years he has also been involved with the FAI Emerging Talent Programme under the guidance of William Doyle, the Wexford native who is currently a FAI Regional High Performance coach and current U15 Mens National Team Assistant coach. As part of William’s role he has and will continue mentoring Mark as part of his ongoing Coach Educator qualification and be an ongoing resource for best practice and modern trends in Youth Football.
