This Saturday, Wexford Youths travel to Peamount United in their penultimate game of the WNL.
In what has been a very exciting season, with Shelbourne being 10 points ahead of Youths at one point, the Youths find themselves 1 point ahead with 2 games to go.
All 4 title contenders comfortably earned 3 points last week, mounting the pressure on for the final two games. The Youths returned back to winning ways after a convincing 5-2 win over Sligo Rovers last week, thanks to a Kylie Murphy hat-trick.
They now face a Peamount side who currently have the longest unbeaten streak with 9 games, winning 8. They have also incredibly kept 6 consecutive clean sheets.
Both Youths and Peas are the joint most on-form sides in the last 10 games, earning 25 points in that time. In fact, they have the same record of 8 wins, 1 draw, and 1 loss.
A draw has been the most common result between the sides in recent times, with 3 in the last 4 meetings.

Before Wexford Youths kick-off on Saturday, they will know the result of Shels v Sligo Rovers. Sligo Rovers managed to beat Shels 3-2 in their last meeting, after going 0-2 down. Added pressure for the Youths, as they could see themselves fighting to win back 1st, should Shels win beforehand.
Elsewhere, dark horses Athlone face Galway WFC at home. Their record in the last 5 meetings against Galway has been 2 wins, 2 draws and 1 loss. The most recent game between the sides in June finished goalless. That game kicks-off after Peas v Youths.
