Wexford FC are pleased to confirm the signing of defender Michael McCarthy, previously of Cobh Ramblers.
The 21-year-old, originally from Youghal, Co. Cork, brings valuable League of Ireland experience to Ferrycarrig Park, having made 50 senior appearances for Cobh.
A versatile defender who is most comfortable at centre back, Michael joined Cobh at U15 level from Midleton and has developed into a consistent performer in the First Division over the past few seasons.
Supporters should note that Michael will only be eligible to play for Wexford FC from July 1st, in line with the opening of the transfer window.
