#STRONGERTOGETHER

The Youths return to action this Saturday away to Shelbourne in a hugely important fixture in deciding the lay of the land in Phase 1.

Both teams have made near-perfect starts to life in the delayed 2020 seasons, Shelbourne with 4 wins from 4 and Wexford with 2 wins from 2.   Shelbourne have scored 11 and conceded just 2 against Cork City, DLR Waves, Bohemians and Athlone.  Wexford meanwhile have scored 5 and conceded 1 against Bohemians and Athlone, in truth there is little to split the sides at this point in the season.

There's no silverware up for grabs just yet in Phase 1, but that will have no impact at all on the importance of this fixture in the minds of the players.  Momentum is essential in a short season like this, and of course the massive confidence at stake in a clash with such long standing rivals as Wexford and Shelbourne.

Speaking of confidence, Wexford will be boosted this week with the news of stand-out performer Ellen Molloy getting called up to the Irish Senior Women's National team for their Euro qualifier with Germany.  It's no secret that Wexford fans have long felt that their players have been a bit short-changed with international attention, so seeing the young star get her international call is certain to be a boost for all around the club.

There's no change to fitness news again this week, with Trina Duggan and Aoife Slattery both being out through injury.  Sinead Taylor is still on duty with the Irish Defence Forces and is therefore unavailable.
