After a disappointing run of games in the league, Wexford have a prime chance to get the season back on track with FAI Cup fixture away to Athlone Town.

Wexford came back from lockdown in flying form away to Athlone, picking up a hard-earned 3-1 victory.  Since then Wexford picked up a 0-0 draw at home to Cabinteely, before 3 defeats in a row.  Athlone meanwhile are still without a win in 2020, and have picked up two draws post-lockdown with Galway United and Drogheda United.

Wexford had a new-look attack last Friday for the league fixture with Drogheda, being without Ola Adeyemo on the day.  Jack Doherty lead the line instead for Wexford, and the returning Conor English gave Wexford a good fast-moving attack.  Brian O'Sullivan has a variety of attacking options available to him on Friday night, with a place in the FAI Cup Quarter Finals at stake.

Wexford are bolstered with the return of Azeez Yusuff, Conor English and Liam Berry from injury this week, and Malike Hill-Benrouguibi too could play a role.

Unfortunately, Friday night's match will not be streamed.
