The club staff and volunteers have discussed and reviewed in close detail the FAI's regulations on match attendance during Phase 3 of Ireland's Roadmap for Reopening, and can confirm the following rules apply to match attendance for the first home league fixture with Cabinteely:

Fans and spectators

The limit of 200 people at the fixture will be very strictly adhered to.  For this reason, we regret to state that absolutely no walk-in attendees will be permitted and will be turned away at the gate.  All attendees must have registered their intention to attend at least 48 hours before kickoff.

All existing season-ticket holders and Wexford Supporters Trust members are being prioritised and have their place at this game confirmed if they wish to attend.  If you are currently a season ticket holder or supporters trust member, we will be contacting you in the coming days to confirm that you wish to attend this match.  In addition, a very limited number of player family members will be given the option to attend the re-opening fixture.

In relation to the free season tickets for frontline workers in the Covid-19 pandemic, we regret but due to limited places we will not be able to immediately accommodate those who have availed of the offer. We hope that if Phase 4 of Ireland's reopening is confirmed during August and the numbers permitted to outdoor events increased to 500+, we will be able to welcome you all to our home league games for the rest of the season thereafter.  Otherwise we will be extending the season pass offer to next season (2021) instead, so we hope you will bear with us.  We desperately wish that everyone in this group could be accommodated from the beginning, and we guarantee that you will be welcomed to attend as soon as it is possible.

Regrettably we cannot offer food or refreshments at the game.

Media

Media places will be very strictly limited and adhered to by the club media officer.  We stress that simply holding an FAI Media Pass will not permit you entrance to the fixture.  Any media personnel wishing to attend this fixture must confirm with Ronan McCarthy at media@wexfordfc.ie their intention to attend the fixture at least 48 hours before kickoff.  In addition, media personnel must respect FAI guidelines in place at the fixture.  No photographers will be permitted pitch-side under any circumstances and must be situated behind the advertising hoardings.  While approved media personnel will be assigned a seat, we cannot guarantee that a table will be available.  We also confirm that any interviews must take place outdoors and with complete social distancing.  No interviews will be permitted inside the clubhouse.

Regularly attending media personnel will have already received communication from the club media officer in relation to the rules in place.  If you have not received any communication and wish to attend as media personnel, please contact media@wexfordfc.ie as a matter of urgency.

Match streaming

The club media team is working to ensure a high quality stream is available for everyone to watch from home.   We will have an announcement confirming the details of the stream in the coming days, and we are thrilled with the opportunity to bring you live Wexford FC football in the safety of your home.

Finally, we stress that we wish that none of these rules were necessary, nor the stringency in which they will be enforced.  All at Wexford FC wish we could welcome crowds to enjoy League of Ireland football at their front door.  However, we place the health and well-being of our players, staff and volunteers above all else, and so we will be following all FAI requirements in relation to the Covid-19 pandemic.
