Wexford will go into their second home league game of the year looking to repeat the quality of their performance in their first home game, securing a point at home to UCD AFC. A Conor English equalizer in injury time was enough for Wexford to put a point on the board on their first matchday, after managing to keep the students to just a single shot on target throughout the game.

Last week Wexford fell to a 2-0 defeat away to Bray Wanderers in a battling performance, still managing to keep chances to a premium for the home side. Manager Brian O'Sullivan believes the new-look Wexford side still has even more to offer:

"After the first two games against UCD and Bray we are frustrated to only come out with one point. The UCD game we felt over the 90 minutes we were the better side. We had better chances with more possession over the course of the game."

"I think in the Bray game, it was two teams cancelling each other out for most of the night. There was not much between the sides. They looked to play long balls into Shaw and play off him which caused us some problems, but I thought overall we dealt with him quite well"

"For anyone watching the last two games, you can see we have dramatically improved from last year and I think with more games, this group of players will only get better and go on a good run."

Speaking with the club media team, club captain Dan Tobin was hopeful about the Galway fixture:

"Only 7 days prior [to the Bray match] we were the ones celebrating a 90th minute goal. Hopefully we can learn from our mistakes, and put things right."

In team fitness news, Azeez Yusuff is unlikely to make the matchday squad due to a knee problem sustained before the Bray match. Conor English did not take full part in training during the week, but might be ready for Friday night. Malike Hill-Benrouguibi and Liam Berry will both remain out with their injuries for a few weeks.

Kickoff at Ferrycarrig Park is set for 7.45pm
