The Youths travel to Markets Field this Saturday to face a struggling Treaty side as they try to edge closer to the top.

The Youths can briefly bring the gap from the top to 5 points with a win on Saturday. Shelbourne have drawn their last two games, 1-1 against Athlone and a stalemate against Bohs on Wednesday, so perhaps an opportunity can still open up in the title race.

Wexford will look to extend their unbeaten run to 5 games against Treaty.  Wexford picked up a vital win last week against Bohs.  An impressive second half display capped off a 3-1 result.  Della Doherty along with 2 late goals from Ellen Molloy secured a much-needed win, especially as the previous games against DLR Waves and Galway ended in draws.

In all 5 meetings between the teams, the Youths have come out on top every time, keeping a clean sheet in their last 2 games against Treaty. Wexford could do with scoring a few goals against Treaty to extend their goal difference and pose a greater challenge for Athlone to overtake them. Athlone currently have a goal difference of 15 and face DLR Waves next, while Wexford have 13. Wexford are also currently 1 point ahead of Athlone.

Treaty have been leaking in the goals recently, with 20 goals conceded in the last 3 games. They have also been struggling going forward, as they have scored in just 1 of the previous 6 games.

Wexford have lost once in their last 5 away games, with 2 wins and 2 draws in the other games. They have also kept a clean in their last two away games, against DLR Waves and Shelbourne.
