Wexford return to Ferrycarrig Park this weekend off the back of an impressive 3-0 victory against Cobh, with a chance to overtake Treaty and enter the playoff spots.

Wexford come into this game unbeaten in their last 3. Clinical finishing in the second half against Cobh from Conor Davis, Jack Doherty and Dinny Corcoran put the game to bed, keeping the pressure on Treaty United.

Longford are sitting comfortably in 4th, with a chance to leapfrog Waterford this weekend. Longford come into this game on fine form, having only lost 1 game in their last 7. Wexford will look to get back to winning ways at home, having not won at Ferrycarrig Park in the last 4 games. Longford on the other hand have only lost 2 of their last 8 away games.

Last time the teams faced, a superb free-kick from Jack Doherty gave Wexford an early lead. However, Sam Verdon’s last-minute goal after Lorcan Fitzgerald’s straight red card gave Longford a 2-1 win.

An exciting game awaits this time around as both teams have a chance to finish the game one place higher in the table.

On the same day, Treaty face a tough test with a trip away against league leaders Galway. Galway have only lost 1 game from 8 at home this season, while Treaty have drawn 5 out of 9 games. Treaty will be up for the challenge however as they look to avenge the 15-minute 3 goal comeback by Galway to win 3-2 in their previous encounter.

Jack Doherty has scored against Longford in 2 out of the last 3 encounters. After scoring against Treaty last week too, Wexford will look to rely on Jack again this time round against his former club.

Tickets and match programmes are on sale to all at the gate on match night.

The match will be available to live stream on LOITV.ie for €5.00, with live commentary from Adam Doyle and special guests
