Keeper Shay O'Leary unfortunately was forced off with an injury, hope to see him back soon 👏

The Youths visit Turner’s Cross this Saturday to take on Cork City, and will look to maintain their title hopes and extend their impressive record against Cork.

An important clash at the top between Peamount and Athlone on the same day could shake things up in the table – and increase the pressure for the Youths to grab all 3 points.

Ellen Molloy scored a hat-trick inside 18 minutes last time out against Cork in a 5-1 victory at Ferrycarrig Park last month.

For Cork meanwhile it will be Jess Lawton's first game in charge of City, after the departure of Paul Farrell earlier in the week.  Lawton will be looking to steady things at the back in particular, after a few heavy defeats so far this season.

They face a Wexford team on good scoring form, who have scored at least 2 goals in 4 out of their last 5 league games.

It is a vital weekend for the Youths as there is the possibility of overtaking Peamount to be 2nd in the table, or falling to 4th.

Tickets are on sale to all at the ground.

The match will be available to live stream on LOITV.ie for free, simply register a free account to tune in.

Kickoff at Turner’s Cross is set for 7.00pm, Saturday 14th May 2022.
