Keeper Shay O'Leary unfortunately was forced off with an injury, hope to see him back soon 👏

Wexford FC kick off their second series of games at home to Cobh Ramblers this Friday, fresh off a creditable draw away to Galway United last weekend.

Wexford have picked up 8 points from their opening 8 games, which keeps them well in the chase for the playoff places.  They have also tightened up at the back considerably, with just 2 goals conceded in the last 3.  The return to fitness of defender Joe Manley has contributed majorly to this.

Cobh had plenty of possession in Tuesday's game against Longford, but fell to a 2-0 defeat.  They have taken four points from their opening series of game, and urgently need a win to get themselves back in the mix for a playoff place.

In their last encounter Wexford took all 3 points away from home, and it was a vintage performance from Dinny Corcoran that made the difference.  His two late goals meant Wexford ran out 3-2 winners at St. Colman's Park.

Dinny Corcoran still is on the cusp of his 100th league goal, currently standing on 99 career goals in the League of Ireland.

Tickets and matchday programmes are on sale to all at the ground.

The match will be available to live stream on LOITV.ie for €5.00, with commentary from Adam Doyle and James Quinn
