Highlights from the #IRLU15 clash with Mexico yesterday! Kaylem Harnett doing Wexford proud 🙌 https://t.co/fOAi0xYVOX

Before the Youths Women and Shelbourne clash in the scintillating FAI Cup Final on 21st November, there's the small matter of the 2021 Women's National League season to decide this Saturday at Tolka Park.

It's the final round of fixtures, and Peamount United lead the table with 60 points.  Shelbourne are in second place with 58 points, meaning Shelbourne can still win the WNL title if they pick up all 3 points at Tolka Park and Peamount are defeated by Galway WFC.

Wexford will unquestionably want to run out with the 3 points themselves however, which both secure the Youths 2nd place over Shelbourne as well as put them in good stead for the FAI Cup final the following week.

Unsurprisingly, both the Youths and Shelbourne are going into the weekend in superb form.  Wexford have 4 wins out of their last 5, last time out securing a comfortable 7-0 win over Bohemians at Ferrycarrig Park.  The one blot in their copybook being a defeat at home against Galway early in October.  Prior to that, the Youths had an unbeaten streak stretching right to the very first day of the season.

Shelbourne have the same record in their last five, with 4 wins and 1 defeat.  In their last defeat Shelbourne suffered a shock 5-0 loss away to Peamount United, a highly uncharacteristic defeat for Shels and one they will certainly look to bounce back from.

Peamount will be heavy favourites to secure the WNL title on Saturday night.  While the quality of Galway is certainly not underestimated by anyone at Wexford Youths Women after that night in October, the expectation would still be on Peamount to secure the win and the league.  Regardless, second place is still all to play for and it is an important stepping-stone towards the Evoke.ie FAI Cup final on 21st November.

Entry is free to Tolka Park, and the match will be broadcast live and free on LOITV.ie

Kick off at Tolka Park is set for 7:30pm
