ūüďĘCONFIRMED: Our https://t.co/TNeL6TWoAR FAI Cup second round clash with @DundalkFC will take place on Friday 26th‚Ķ https://t.co/H0fxCz9pdC

Wexford will look to continue their superb run of form, and extend their winning streak in the league to 4 games away to Cork City this Friday.

After defeating UCD for the first time this season in a 2-1 victory last week, Wexford will hope to do the same against Cork.  Following a scoreless deadlock at home and a 5-0 defeat away, which ultimately was the final game for Brian O’Sullivan, Ian Ryan and the team will look to climb off the bottom and overtake Cobh Ramblers with a win.

With 3 wins in 3 in the league, matching the form of recently crowned Shelbourne, Wexford will come into this game with confidence and strong motivation to push up the table with 3 games remaining, and 9 points still up for grabs.

Cork’s recent scoreless form of 2 draws and a loss is poor on paper, however such games have been against tough opponents in Bray Wanderers, Treaty United, and Shelbourne respectively. Beforehand, Cork scored 13 goals in a 5-game unbeaten run of 3 wins and 2 draws.

A challenging encounter lies ahead as Wexford have only won 2 away games this season, the second coming against Athlone two weeks ago, matching alongside a strong Cork home form of late, with one loss in their last 5 home games.

Another goal for Kyle Robinson, following on from his winner against UCD, will bring his tally in the league to double digits, equalling that of Cork City forward, Cian Murphy, who scored against Wexford earlier on in the season.

Hopefully the Wexford players can bring us an incredible season-ending comeback.
