Wexford Youths Women U17 striker Katie Law has been named in the Republic of Ireland Women's U17 squad that will head to Lisbon later this month to play Portugal in two international friendly games. Both games will take place at the Cidade do Futebol stadium in the Portuguese capital, the first fixture on Sunday 19th September and the second on Wednesday 22nd September.

Katie has scored 12 goals in 9 appearances for Wexford this season, Alan Browne's team through to the Elite phase of the National League and into the Quarter Finals of the EASPORTS Cup.

The games in Portugal are part of Ireland's prep for the UEFA Women's U17 European Championship qualifiers in October. James Scott's squad will face Bulgaria, Hungary and Norway in a bid to reach the Elite Round.
