ūüŹÜCONFIRMED: Our FAI Cup second round tie with Killester Donnycarney takes place on Sunday, 29th August at 2.00pm!‚Ķ https://t.co/kpIfwo3MCV

It's one of the biggest weekends of the year for Wexford FC, as we play host to Cork City this Friday night in front of 200 fans.

We are absolutely delighted to welcome so many of our fans back to the ground this weekend, and all ticket details can be found here - https://wexfordfc.ie/latest-news/1184-ticket-arrangements-for-wexford-fc-vs-cork-city

Friday's match is especially intriguing as Wexford and Cork go into the match with the exact same return from their last 6 games.  Wexford picked up their first win against Cabinteely recently, and secured a 4-4 draw at home against Athlone two weeks ago.  Meanwhile, in their last 6 games Cork have secured a win against Athlone and a draw last week with Bray Wanderers.  Wexford have a good history against Cork City, with their most famous win over the Leesiders coming in the League Cup semi final of 2008 at Turners Cross.  While Cork find themselves well below where one would expect them to be, it will still be a major scalp for Wexford if they can secure victory on Friday.

If you cannot attend on the night, you can enjoy the match from home as usual on LOITV.ie

In team news, Jack Connolly has unfortunately been ruled out with an ankle injury picked up at training.  There is also injury doubts for Lorcan Fitzgerald, Thomas Considine and Cian Kelly.

Kickoff at Ferrycarrig Park is set for 7.45pm
