The opposition doesn't come any more difficult than this, as Wexford Youths Women travel to face top of the table Peamount United.

Peamount are in a simply extraordinary run of form, with 8 wins from 8 so far in 2021.  In fact, you have to go all the way back to September 2020 for the last time Peamount even dropped a point, when Wexford Youths defeated them 3-1 at Ferrycarrig.

Last week Wexford were held to a 0-0 draw at Shelbourne, meaning to keep their title hopes alive a win is basically a must this weekend.  A huge ask as Peamount are in truth, going from strength to strength.  Striker Eleanor Ryan-Doyle notched the Player of the Month award in the league, and Peamount's defence has been extremely thrifty by conceding just twice this season so far.

However, Wexford are the only team to match Peamount in terms of goals scored (24 each).  They are boosted by the return of Lauren Kelly to the squad, as well as the great form of Sinead Taylor and Ciara Rossiter.

This Saturday's match will be live as always on LOITV.ie, with the return of fans now just around the corner.

In team news, Aoife Slattery remains the only long term injury absentee for Tom Elmes' side.
