Wexford begin their second series of fixtures away to Cabinteely this Friday night at Stradbrook Park.

It's certainly a good fixture for this Wexford side to try to kick-start their 2021 season, with mainly disappointing results so far and Cabinteely becoming something of a rival for the Slaneysiders.  Leaving the off-the-pitch matters out entirely, this is becoming a game with baggage for those involved. In the past two seasons Wexford have picked up Conor Crowley, Karl Manahan, Jack Connolly, and Paul Fox from Cabinteely, all of whom have been key squad this year.  There’s nothing a player would like more than to get one over on their former side.

Wexford fans will also have fantastic memories of this fixture last season, where Wexford picked up a shock 5-1 victory against a side that had started their season so well.  Karl Fitzsimons netted two on the day,

Cabinteely are in good form once again this season, sitting currently in 4th place with 5 wins from 8 played (and one forfeiture).

This game will be brought to you live as always on LOITV.ie, the home of League of Ireland livestreaming.

In fitness news, it's a collector's item for fans as new manager Ian Ryan now has a completely fit squad to choose from, with Daniel Dobbin getting the all-clear to return to the matchday squad.

Kick-off at Stradbrook Park is set for 7.45pm
