Wexford FC go on the road again this week to face title favourites Shelbourne at Tolka Park.

Despite not making the dream start with two draws in two games, Shelbourne remain the hefty favourites with the bookies to take the 2021 title.  Shelbourne in fairness have faced two of the other top contenders in their first two games, with an opening day 0-0 draw at Galway United before a 3-3 draw with Bray at home.

Wexford meanwhile have taken two single-goal defeats from their first two games, losing out 2-1 to Cabinteely and a frustrating 1-0 defeat away to ten-man Treaty.  The squad will be desperate to resolve that on Friday night.

Tolka Park has long been a favourite away trip for Wexford fans, but unfortunately this year's visit is behind closed doors.  Instead, you can watch the full match LIVE on www.loitv.ie

In team news Wexford are unfortunately hit by new injury concerns, with Jack Connolly, Paul Fox and Jack Doherty all out of action this weekend.  In addition, Shelbourne loan signings Alex O'Hanlon and Harry Groome are unavailable to play against their parent club.   Anto Dolan and Cameron Power remain long-term absentees.  On the brightside, Wexford do have a larger squad to pull from this season, meaning we could see a first start this season for players like Success Edogun, Dan Tobin, Jack Larkin, and Charlie Smith.  James Carroll and Kyle Robinson are also likely returns after starting on the bench last week against Treaty United.

Kickoff in Tolka Park is set for 7.45pm
