The Youths go on the road for the first time this year on Saturday afternoon to take on DLR Waves at the UCD Bowl.

DLR Waves have made quite a splash in the off-season, with a number of landmark signings all over the pitch.  Kate Mooney, Jess Gleeson, Louise Corrigan, Niamh Barnes, and Rugile Auskalnyte (among others) will greatly boost DLR Waves in 2021.  Their mid-table status may very well be a thing of the past in the coming year.  Waves had a bye-week in the opening round, meaning this coming Saturday will give us our first proper glimpse at the new look DLR Waves.

The Youths opened their season last weekend with a home defeat to Peamount United.  The manner of the defeat however was hugely frustrating, after looking the better team going forward and missing a penalty, a late wondergoal by Eleanor Ryan Doyle left the home side with no points to show for their hard work.  They will be desperate to put things right at the UCD Bowl.

Wexford fans will have a familiar sound on LOITV, as Ronan McCarthy has been drafted in to commentate on the away fixture.  All WNL matches will be streamed completely free on www.loitv.ie, so don't miss out!

In team news, Kylie Murphy played the full 90 last weekend confirming her return to fitness after an effected pre-season.  Lauren Kelly and Aoife Slattery will remain absent with injury.

Kickoff at UCD Bowl is set for 6pm
