The 2021 season will finally kick off on Saturday evening with an ever-appealing clash with Peamount United, the Peas going in search of their third consecutive WNL title this year.

It is certainly a tough fixture to open the season, but sure to be one for the fans to enjoy.  While Peamount have been the team to beat in recent years, the Youths can take heart in their memory of last season being the first and only side to defeat Peamount in the league.  Saturday's match will be live in full on LOITV, completely free for all fans to enjoy with commentary by Ronan McCarthy.  You can also look forward to your digital match programme, available on our social media platforms on the morning of matchday.

The Youths have strengthened in a number of areas during the off-season, with the arrival of Lynn-Marie Grant, Kim Flood and Katie O'Regan.   Grant has already looked a quality attacking threat for the Youths Women, which will go some way to making up for the departure of striker Blessing Kingsley.  Flood and O'Regan may fill in at the centre of defence, or in midfield if called upon.  Freya De Mange has also made the step up to the senior squad this year, and could be in line for an appearance on Saturday.

Saturday's game unfortunately is strictly behind closed doors, and no fans may attend.

In team news Tom Elmes may be without Kylie Murphy and Lauren Kelly who have their pre-season preparations effected by injury.

Kickoff at Ferrycarrig Park is set for 4.00pm
