Underage End of Year Awards

Congratulations to all of our underage winners in last night's End of Year Club Awards, especially after a long difficult season where there were numerous pre-season starts and abandoned fixtures. All of our teams have been training constantly since the start of the year and even during lockdown through zoom calls with their coaches. Thankfully all of our teams got to play at least part of their fixtures this season, our U17 and U19 boys and U17 girls lucky enough to complete their shortened campaigns.

Paudie Casey (pictured above) was named Wexford FC U19 Player of the Year, the defender capping a fantastic season after signing for the first team two weeks ago. Kilkenny native Mikey Raggett was awarded U17 Player of the Year after an excellent second season at the club while Jesse Dempsey picked up the U15 award, the tricky winger a nightmare to defend against all year long. Talented goalkeeper Haydon McCarthy was our U13 Player of the Year, another young lad with a big future ahead of him.

Seren Ward was named Wexford Youths WFC U17 Player of the Year, the midfielder excelled in her final season at this age group, Seren led by example superbly as captain of the team also. Siún Murdiff won for underage Goal of the Season for her stunning strike against Greystones United, Siún was excellent in her first year at the club, scoring three goals. Senior Goal of the Season was won by Ellen Molloy after her brilliant long distance rocket for the Youths first team against Galway WFC earlier this year.
