Danny Furlong scored his fourth goal of the season on Friday night, a stunning back heel finish, but it wasn't enough to prevent a Wexford defeat at the Carlisle Grounds, Bray Wanderers grabbing the three points with a 2-1 win. All three goals came in the second half after a quiet opening 45 minutes. Wanderers had most of the ball and forced Wexford to defend deep in the opening half but didn't make the most of the possession, although Corey Chambers was called into action on a couple of occasions, first tipping a dangerous header from a corner over the crossbar on 15 minutes before blocking a Daly shot from close range minutes later.

Wexford were unable to put the Seagulls under real pressure, Thomas Croke with the visitors only effort of note with a long range shot easily saved by Sava in the Bray goal, the sides going in at half time all square. The deadlock was broken 10 minutes into the second half, Paul Keegan sent a ball over the top of the Wexford defence and Daly timed his run to perfection before lobbing it over the advancing Chambers for the first goal of the game. Wanderers doubled their advantage 7 minutes later, Dylan McGlade setting up Daly at the far post for his second of the night. Wexford pushed on looking to get back into the game and didn't have too long to wait, Furlong with an incredible finish with Danny Doyle the provider with 20 minutes remaining. Wexford piled on the pressure for the remaining minutes but Bray defended stoutly to the final whistle for their third League win in a row. Next up for Wexford, Drogheda at home on Friday night.
