Another fine away performance on Friday night from Wexford FC as we returned from Stradbrook Road with all thee points and fully deserved too. It was the same starting eleven that had performed so well in Athlone seven days previous but on the bench was a new face, Emmet Nugent who signed for the club this week and went straight into the match day squad.

Wexford had the better of the chances in a scoreless opening 45, Dean Kelly and Aaron Dobbs stinging the hands of Cabo keeper McGuiness with long range efforts he could only parry. The Dublin side had few efforts of note, Kieran Waters heading wide but Corey Chambers had no save of note to make in that first half.

Cabinteely took the lead with a soft penalty, Sean Kelly been penalised as he jumped to clear a cross. Conor Keeley stepped up and converted, his second goal against us this year. Emmet Nugent came on in place of Aaron Dobbs to make his debut and it wasn't long before he made an impact on the game, looping a cross into the box for Mark Slater to equalise from close range with 20 mins remaining.

Both sides pressed on for a winner in the closing stages, Cabo coming closest when Joe Doyle clipped the crossbar, before Dean Kelly won the game for Wexford starting and finishing a flowing move right at the death to grab all three points.
