Wexford FC are delighted to welcome James Carroll to Ferrycarrig Park, the talented young defender joins the club after spending last season with Dundalk FC. After starting the season with the U19s James made his first team debut for Dundalk in their FAI Cup win over Cobh Ramblers at St.Colman's Park in August, 2019.

Previous to that James was at Drogheda United, beginning with their U17s in 2016. He made one senior cup appearance for Drogheda in 2018 before making his move to Dundalk.

Wexford FC Manager Brian O'Sullivan was delighted to add James to his squad with the 2020 First Division season now just a month away:

"He is a centre back who is aggressive, good in the air and good on the ball. James made his senior debut for Dundalk last year in the FAI Cup at 19 years of age, I think he'll play a big part this coming season."
