Wexford FC are delighted to announce the signing of Kaleem Simon, the hugely experienced attacking midfielder's previous clubs include Bohemians (15 Premier Division appearances), Longford Town (53 Premier Division appearances) Cabinteely and Athlone Town.

Kaleem started his career with UCD U19s in 2013. He made his Premier Division debut for the Student's against Cork City at Turner's Cross in 2014. He signed for Longford (who were in the Premier Division at the time) in 2015 and over the course of two seasons made over 50 appearances for them. In 2017 he moved to Bohemians and made 15 league appearances for the Dalymount Park side before returning to Longford for a second spell.

Kaleem signed for Cabinteely in 2018 and made his Cabo debut coming on as a second half substitute in their opening game of the season against Wexford FC (Sean Hurley on target for Wexford in a 1-0 win at Stradbrook). The 23 year old spent last year at Athlone Town, scoring against Wexford in Town's 4-2 home win on the opening day of the 2019 season.

Wexford FC Manager Brian O'Sullivan:

"Kaleem's got plenty of League of Ireland experience. He caused us problems when we played against Athlone last season, strong, skillfull and excellent on the ball. He's versatile, can play on either wing or in the ten position. He'll fit in well with the lads we already have in place."

Kaleem joins up with the Wexford squad for this afternoon's pre-season friendly game against St.Patrick's Athletic in Dublin. Kick off at the TU Dublin campus in Blanchardstown is at 2pm.
